Central Virginia Disciples running back Mike Durrette was honored by being named one of the Richmond Times Dispatch Game Breakers for his performance against Chincoteague High School on Friday night. Durrette, who rushed for 130 yards on 19 carries and scored 2 touchdowns, was included in the list of top prep football players for last weekend’s games. Durrette also rushed for 91 yards and 3 second-half touchdowns in the previous week’s come from behind victory over Portsmouth Christian, giving him a total of 221 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns in the two Disciples victories.
The 5-1 Disciples will be going for their sixth win in a row against the Model School for the Deaf in Washington, DC on Saturday.
